BACKGROUND

The Interfaith Partnership for the Promotion of Resposible Parenthood, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit organization borne out of the need to hear the voice of various faith-based groups on critical concerns such as responsible parenthood which includes family planning, reproductive health, and population and development concerns.

The year 2003 witnessed the gathering of more than 120 church leaders and workers who attended the Church-Policymakers Conference in Tagaytay City. This resulted in the formation of the Interfaith Partnership for the Promotion of Responsible Parenthood.

The Declaration of Unity signifies our United Commitment "to advance responsible parenthood within the milieu of our beliefs and practices as leaders and constituents of churches and religious groups in the country.
